What is this test for?
This test measures the intensity of generalised anxiety symptoms: nervousness, worries that are hard to control, tension, irritability, restlessness. It helps put words and a marker to what you feel.
Who is it for?
For anyone who often feels tense, worried or “on edge”, and who wants to understand their anxiety better. Anxiety frequently accompanies mood disorders.
How does it work?
You answer 7 questions about the past 2 weeks. We compute the total score and a severity band, with the screening verdict, the estimated probability and the reliability — all locally, with nothing transmitted.
The science behind this test
The GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale) is a validated, widely used primary-care instrument. Above a threshold, the screen for generalised anxiety is positive. Sensitivity, specificity and source are shown with your result.
The reference tests used by professionals
This questionnaire replaces none of the tools used in consultation. Here are the ones professionals actually use:

Frequently asked questions
Does the GAD-7 diagnose an anxiety disorder?
No, it screens for the intensity of anxiety. The diagnosis is up to a professional. A high score is a good reason to talk about it, especially if anxiety disrupts your daily life.
Can guided breathing help?
In the moment, yes: breathing exercises calm the stress response. MoodTrakr offers some. It does not replace support if anxiety is intense or lasting.
Is my data protected?
Yes: everything is computed in your browser, no answer is sent. You can save your result end-to-end encrypted with an (optional) account.
